Thank you In response to your feedback here and on other forums, I have added a few customization options, in particular for dealing with the book title. By default, AAX Audio Converter will try to shorten the book title, extracting the name of the book and removing all meta information, like unabridged, part for partial books, and also the series title, if the book is part of a series. Sometimes, the built-in processing will not yield the expected results. Last version I couldnt get the Audible Manager activation code to work but this one worked immediately with the W10 app. Thank you. My only suggestion, not knowing how exactly it works, is if you could add the option to somehow decode using GPU over CPU. As Id prefer MP3 over M4A but not at the speed its converting. I have a i5-3690 non overclocked heavily bottlenecking my 1080 ti. But again, I dont know how this all works or if its even possible. You could always use this tool to quickly convert to MP4 and then use already available tools to do the GPU conversion, since it might be out of the scope of a project like this. I have looked into the AAX to MP3 code before I decided to create my own tool. Audible Audio Converter Plus A NumberThere are actually two versions of it, one that simply takes an AAX input file and creates a single MP3 output file and a later one that allows to split the output into chapters (plus a number of other extras). Both versions also use FFmpeg but in a slightly different way than AAX Audio Converter does. AAX to MP3 decodes with the help of an Audible Manager DLL and feeds sample by sample into FFmpeg. AAX Audio Converter delegates the entire audio transcoding job to FFmpeg, without any further interaction. It wont make a big difference, but AAX Audio Converter should be somewhat faster even in basic mode. But for chapter and split chapter mode performance should be significantly higher with AAX Audio Converter. AAX to MP3 converts chapter by chapter in the same single thread while AAX Audio Converter spreads the task across multiple threads and CPU cores.
